Alcan Highway: Builders
Of The Alaskan Highway In an amazingly short eight months
span, under the harshest weather conditions, 3,600
Black army troops persevered to accomplish an incredible
feat of engineering building the WWII critical defense
route known as "The Alcan Highway".
These unheralded men cleared 1,621 miles, of rugged, unmapped
wilderness stretching from British Columbia to Fairbanks,
